New Mum Checklist

To help you make planned purchases and to make sure you don't forget anything we have the 'New Mum Checklist'. Simply 'tick' the items you plan to purchase click on the 'Submit your checklist' button at the bottom of the page. Then you can print out the results for your future reference.

As future parent it is natural you want the best for your baby. However, buying for your baby does not have to mean you need to spend a fortune if you shop with Baby Names and Products. A new mum will spend $3,000 on average to purchase everything they need for the new baby. If you can save 10% on your purchase that's a whopping $300 saving.

Cot Mattress & Bedding

Your baby will be fine in a bassinet for a few weeks but you will then need a cot that conforms to current safety standards. You will also need a good supply of cot-sized sheets and blankets that can be firmly stretched and fitted around the mattress.

Nappies

The choice between cloth nappies and disposable nappies is a matter of personal preference. If you don't mind doing a lot of washing, cloth nappies might work for you. Otherwise, you may choose disposable nappies . Either way, you will need a lot of them. The minimum number you should keep on hand is about two dozen.
