All about changetables
A baby-changing unit is a table designed to be just the right height to
enable you to change your baby's nappy without the risk of bending your
back too far. Most of them also come with storage shelves, a bath and a
changing top that covers the bath when it's not being used. Some also come
with hand-height accessory trays, which can be particularly useful.
Many people see baby changing units as a bit of a luxury, but if you
suffer from backache you'll probably find one a lifesaver. Plus, they can
be quite useful for storage. You can put nappy and bath time-related items
(or whatever you like, really) on the shelves. Unfortunately, the baths
tend not to be so useful. You have to fill and empty them by hand and this
can be messy.
The other thing to think about is whether you can press the unit into
more general storage use later on. Some ranges include a chest of drawers
unit with bath and changing top, but they are more expensive. You have to
decide what you want from the unit first.
